The Serpentine Belt on your vehicle appears to be worn. Should it be replaced?
A serpentine belt can also be referred to as a drive belt. This belt drives all of the accessories in a vehicle – alternator, water pump, power steering pump and a/c compressor. Most vehicles need the belts replaced every 40,000-70,000 miles but are made to last over 100,000 miles. Oil leaks and excessive heat can damage the belts sooner.
